Decals should only be applied to clean, smooth surfaces. Surfaces colder than 40℉ are not recommended unless the surface can be heated with a hair dryer prior to installation. Clean the area with either soapy water or rubbing alcohol only. Do not use any other cleaners as Windex and similar products will leave behind residue that will prevent the decal from adhering well.
Place decal face up on a table or hard surface. Use a squeegee, credit card or driver’s license to apply firm strokes on the clear transfer tape. This will smooth out the decal, ensure it clings well to the clear transfer tape and will peel off the backing easily.
Place the decal face down. Carefully and slowly peel off the backing from the back of the clear transfer tape and the decal. The entire decal should remain on the clear transfer tape once the backing is removed. If any part of the decal stays on the backing, lay the backing back down and repeat Step 2.
Hold the decal on both ends and place it carefully on the final surface. Make sure it is straight. The decal cannot be removed and moved to another surface once installed.
Hold the decal down firmly and rub it with a squeegee or credit card starting in the middle and ending at the edges.
Slowly peel away clear transfer tape at a 45 degree angle away from decal. If at anytime the decal peels up while removing the clear transfer tape, lay the transfer tape back down and repeat Step 5. It is common for there to be some small air bubbles throughout the decal. These air bubbles will leave by themselves within a few weeks.
Congratulations, you are now a graphic decal installer!
